BONSAI KARACHI

 

Bonsai is a restaurant situated in Karachi (Tipu sultan road). It is a very happening place with a facility of valet parking as well. The exterior is very classy and aesthetic which was appealing. As you entered, you’ll be very impressed with the décor as it stood out. You will be welcomed by a magnificent setting, dim lighting and luxuries of modernity which gives a sense of calm. I personally really liked the interior. For those who do not book a table and are waiting there is a cozy corner with comfortable chairs. I found the sitting arrangement adequate as they have two floors. 

Their menu includes Thai, Chinese and Japanese food. They have a wide variety of mouthwatering appetizers. I ordered white Thai soup and crispy dynamite prawns for starters and might I add that the prawns tasted DYNAMITE, absolute perfection. The soup however, was not too good, it was concoction of think corn flour a few vegetables and shrimps. For the main course I ordered their special fire spice crispy chicken, chicken almond with vegetable fried rice and curry. I have to say that their fire spice crispy chicken as hands down the best one, it was extremely flavorful and saucy. The taste of sesame chicken with spicy Szechuan sauce was absolutely delicious and the almond chicken was good too. My favorite part about this place is that you can get free refill of your rice as many times as you want. Thai curry on the other hand was not good as it only tasted like turmeric which honestly wasn’t a pleasant taste. One of the waiters noticed that we were not really satisfied and immediately came up and asked if everything was ok with the food and we gave him out feedback and so he immediately changed the curry which shows how attentive they are towards their customers. 

Their staff did cater to our every need and made sure we leave satisfied so id say the service was wonderful. If I had to rate it out of 10 id give it a solid 9. Moreover, the manager was always around looking after the customers and getting their feedback. The restaurant also caters for all tastes by providing a large variety of beverages from which I ordered mint margarita and pinacolato. The pinacolato was rich and creamy and the mint margarita was perfectly balanced with the sweet and mint. Despite the high price of food, it was a good experience and I would definitely recommend it because of good ambience and delicious food.
